Bonnie and Neil’s latest collection is ‘Sunrise’ – a range of cushions, table linen, timber and ceramic homewares inspired by the warmth of the Australian sun, and abundant plant life.
‘After a freezing cold Melbourne winter (feels like the coldest one in ages!) who doesn’t want a little bit of sunshine!?’ explains Bonnie. ‘We’ve always loved the way that light has an impact on colour and texture, and the way this plays on the Australian landscape.’ This latest collection is particularly focused on different light phases – from dappled sunlight first thing in the morning, to warm afternoon rays and that magic hour just before the sun goes down. The range is also inspired by feasting ‘al fresco’, with lots of warm colours and fresh leafy ferns and monstera leaves in abundance.
It’s been another huge year for Bonnie and Neil. Since expanding their range last year to include printed timber screens and coffee tables, they’ve been run off their feet! ‘Our printed timber pieces were really well received, so we’ve added some new designs and colourways, and we’ve also extended our artwork collection with new timber paintings and paper prints’ Bonnie explains. The pair have also finally started making upholstery fabric to order, which is something their loyal customers have been asking about for ages!
This week, Bonnie and Neil can be found at the Life Instyle trade show in Melbourne, which opens this Thursday. Sydney customers will also be delighted to know that their pair are holding our FIRST EVER studio sale outside of the studio, in Sydney in Spring (dates TBC – follow B+N on Instagram to be kept in the loop!). The industrious pair are also taking part in the The School’s Excursion to Paris in September with the amazing Megan Morton… WOW, no sign of slowing down anytime soon, then!
Bonnie and Neil’s range can be found at stockists nationally, and at their gorgeous little shop in Brunswick.
