Lucy studied Creative Arts at the University of Melbourne. In a former life, she worked as a set dresser in the film industry, and as a stylist. Lucy has contributed to titles including Inside Out, The Age and The Saturday Paper. She is currently a regular columnist for Domain magazine.
Bea is a writer, editor and content producer. She studied a Bachelor of Communications and Journalism at Massey University in Wellington, New Zealand and since graduating in 2015, has been working for some of Aotearoa’s top interior and architecture mags. That is, until she jumped the ditch to join the TDF dream team in 2022!
Annie is responsible for all the visual aspects of The Design Files. She is the editorial stylist for our photoshoots and comes up with the creative direction of all our styled content.
Christina is a writer and content producer. After growing up collecting magazines and dreaming of working in the industry, she studied a Bachelor of Communication (Journalism) at RMIT University. Her words have appeared in Fashion Journal, the Herald Sun, realestate.com.au and more.
Amelia is a writer and holds a Bachelor of Journalism from Monash University. Her work has appeared in The Age, Domain, Harper’s Bazaar Australia, The Guardian, SBS, and more.
Chelsea holds a Business (Marketing) degree from RMIT University. She has over 10 years of experience in the digital media industry, where she has worked closely with a diverse mix of clients to maximise their return from advertising and partnerships.
Alice holds a Bachelor of Communication (Media) from RMIT University and has over 6 years experience in marketing and advertising. She is passionate about creating unique brand collaborations that offer engaging, authentic and memorable connections with audiences.
Georgie has experience in the digital media industry, working across various different campaigns and projects over the past few years. She is passionate about working collaboratively with clients to create original content that leaves a long-lasting impression.
Sarah is responsible for all branding and graphic designs for Design Files, as well as assisting on photoshoots. She studied an Associate Degree in Graphic Design at RMIT and is drawn towards colour, graphic shapes and movement in her design.

Julia Busuttil Nishimura is a Melbourne-based cook, author and teacher. Her food celebrates simple ingredients and seasonal produce and is influenced by her Maltese upbringing and time living in Italy. She teaches sell-out cooking workshops and pasta master classes and is a regular contributor to Australian and international publications. Her first cookbook Ostro was shortlisted for the 2018 ABIA ‘Illustrated Book of the Year’ and named in Gourmet Traveller’s ‘Best Food Books for 2017’. Julia’s second cookbook is due to be released in May 2020.
Lauren Li founded Sisalla in 2010, with over 10 years experience acquire in her roles at leading architectural and interior design practices in Melbourne and London. She has been a TDF contributor since 2018.

Eve has a Bachelor of Commercial Photography from RMIT, and spent several years refining her skills as an assistant before going it alone. We admire Eve’s intuitive way with light, and her calming influence on set!
Caitlin Mills is a Melbourne based photographer specialising in interiors, portraits, travel and food photography. Caitlin shoots many of our studio visits and travel features, and recently travelled to Tasmania to capture this beautiful story!
Amelia is known for her vibrant photographs and passion for visual storytelling. Specialising in lifestyle, interiors and environmental portraits, Amelia often collaborates with emerging artists and designers, while also counting household names such as Dulux, Youtube and Country Road among her commercial client base.
Alisha Gore is a freelance photographer based in Sydney. Inspired by the stories of the people she encounters, Alisha strives to create narrative driven imagery that is rich in emotion and feeling.Having studied Architecture and Design at the University of Sydney, Alisha has a unique perspective on the use of space, light and textures in her work.
After completing a Bachelor of Economic & Social Sciences, Sydney based lifestyle photographer Nikki To perfected her craft by assisting a number of Australia’s leading photographers. With a particular passion for shooting food, Nikki’s clients include Google Food, Jamie Oliver, Broadsheet Sydney and Qantas Magazine.
Bri is a Melbourne-based photographer, specialising in natural portraits which convey genuine and spontaneous emotion, and documentary series’ focusing on telling stories less heard. Originally a graphic designer, she began her career with a year-long residency at Fabrica, Benetton’s Creative Research Centre in Treviso, Italy, before completing a Bachelor of Commercial Photography at RMIT. Bri now creates images for a wide range of commercial clients, editorial publications and organisations across Australia.
