Creative couple Stace Burt and Kenny Pomare are a super inspiring duo. Both run their own businesses -Stace is the founder of Little Company, a Melbourne based skin and wellness brand, whilst Kenny works in the renewable energy and solar sector. After moving to Melbourne from NZ, the couple fell in love with the bush and the creative community of Warrandyte, 24 kilometres north-east of Melbourne CBD.

After keeping a close eye on property in the area for about five years, Burt finally found this three bedroom Alistair Knox home, and fell in love instantly. The couple made an offer the same day, and moved in with their daughter Alexa and dog Zizzou at the end of 2016.

Though the home retains most of its original charm, the pair have made a few important since moving in. Keen to maximise natural light, four large skylights were added, along with new terrazzo tile flooring throughout the main living space.

This place is perhaps the best example we’ve seen of contemporary-meets-1970’s style!  The original materials palette is perfectly complemented by a considered edit of vintage furniture and ceramics, textural soft furnishings and artwork by local creatives including Bobby Clark and Den Holm.
