Mud Australia is best known for its timeless porcelain homewares, but now the local brand has added a playful new lamp to its wishlist worthy collections.

The portable Pop Lamp is one of three new lighting designs that Mud Australia creative director and founder Shelley Simpson worked on with the help of leading Sydney designer, Zachary Hanna.

It marks the brand’s exciting first collaboration, which was revealed at Melbourne Design Week earlier this year.

‘Lighting is a great way to incorporate colour and style to a room. I have been wanting to create a lamp collection for years, but it was only with Zach’s expertise that I was able to marry the industrial design components with porcelain to bring to life what I had envisioned,’ Shelley says.

Like all of Mud Australia’s products, the Pop Lamp is made in Sydney by an expert pouring team who carefully hand-pour the porcelain lamp.

The cute and compact light features no power cords, making it the perfect addition to a desk, bedside table, or to style on your favourite shelf, while the concealed dimmable LED light emits a warm glow from within the sculptural shape — reminiscent of the classic and highly coveted mushroom lamp!

It’s available in six of Mud Australia’s signature colours including Blossom, Duck Egg, Dust, Orange, Red and Slate, bringing a soft pop of colour to any space.
